72*4 + 60*5 = 588

\(\frac{a}{60}\)+\(\frac{(588-a)}{72}\)=9
-> 72a +60*588-60a=9*60*72
12a+60*588=9*60*72
->divide by 12
a+5*588=5*9*72
a=5*(648-588)=5*60=300
588-300=288
--> \(\frac{288}{72}\)=4
The answer choice is A.
