The telegraph posts are 80 metres apart.

Train moving speed = 72 kmph = 72*(5/18) = 20 metre per second.

One second , you move 20 metre.

So, in 60 seconds, we get 1200 metres.

The number of posts at a distance of 1200 metres = 1200/80 = 15 posts.

Step 1: Convert speed to meters per minute
The train travels at 72 km/hr. Let's convert this:

72 km/hr = 72 × 1,000 meters per hour = 72,000 meters/hour

Now convert to meters per minute:
72,000 ÷ 60 = 1,200 meters per minute

Step 2: Count the posts
Posts are 80 meters apart. In 1,200 meters, how many posts does the passenger pass?

1,200 ÷ 80 = 15 posts

Answer: B
---

Quick Check: Always ensure your units match. Posts are in meters, so convert speed to meters. Question asks "per minute," so convert time to minutes.
