Let,

Original hours Logged: 100x
Original Productivity: P

Target Hours : 80x
Target Productivity: T

As Production Remains same, 100x * P = 80x * T

T/P = 100x/80x = 5/4


percent by which the workforce need to increase its production = [T-P/P] * 100 = [5-4/4]* 100 = 25%

current time to produce 1 unit=t
current rate=1/t
desired time to produce 1 unit=.8t
required rate=1/.8t
rate increase=(1/.8t)/(1/t)=1.25=25%
