A recent survey taken by a London tabloid seemed to support the idea that the English no longer consider the royal family to be spiritual leaders, but are seeing them instead to be symbols and relics of the monarchical past of England.
to be spiritual leaders, but are seeing them instead to be symbols and relics of the monarchical past of England
as spiritual leaders, instead they are seeing them as symbolic relics of England’s past, which was monarchical
as being spiritual leaders, but instead they see them as being symbolic relics of England’s monarchical past
spiritual leaders, but instead see them as symbolic relics of England’s monarchical past
for spiritual leaders, but instead see them for symbols and relics of the monarchical past of England
Is the answer choice correct? Family is singular- them does not work in any choice.

Straight D in one stroke. The verb ‘consider’ doesn’t take any prepositions; except D all others are accompanied by a preposition after the verb ‘consider’. I wouldn’t even look at other things in the exam hall, but forthe sake of learning , there are //ism errors such as 'consider and are seeing' and idiomatic errors such as 'for symbols' rather than 'of symbols'
