I think the sentence clearly wants to convey the meaning that the gross sales were more than the expected revenue. With this in mind Option A, Option C and Option E are out
Now we need to verb and not an adverb to maintain parallelism with the two parts that are compared i.e. "gross sales were" and "expected revenues (were)"
Only option B fits in. Hence B is the correct choice

Excepted doesn't make sense so C is out
Expectedly is wrong here as we don't have any verb/noun to which this adverb can modify
So D and E are out
As many as is not correct here as it means somehow same
Whereas intent of sentence is sales more than expected revenues
So B is correct
