Through GSB's contact system, I could see that there were 25 folks with Indian Nationality admitted in R1 (and payed the deposit) and R2.

Those are the ones who live outside USA and UK.

Please don't ask me more than that, because I still don't know If I could even tell that.

Anyway: It's huge, GSB does admit, but the competitions is very tough!

Thank goodness for the Brazilian admits, eh?

Speaking of, Kwam, do you know any Brazilian women matriculating? :-D

Just curious.

I love my wife.

I'm now curios to know what this number was for R2.
I'd have to think that the R1 number has a lot to do with the # of Indians dinged in R2 (including yours truly :-D)

That statistic might present a lesson to be learnt for Indian applicants to these schools....just trying to mitigate RR's point above.

Actually GSB has the highest % of Indian students amongst the M7, so I am not surprised by Kwams number (if you include the Indians from the Us, it should be much higher). It also attracts a significantly large number of Indian applicants.

Agree with dosa on Indian Applicants having an affinity for GSB and vice versa...

and Kwam's number is accurate. I quickly looked through the admitted student list, and there are a LOT of Indians admitted who do not currently live in India (including me)...I wonder what the yield for the desis would be...

In fact this leads me to extend this analysis- add in MIT to GSB and Kellogg and you find that there are a siginificant number of people who are admitted to 2 of these three (steel and Kwam come to mind- might have missed some others).

Even if not here, I have noticed a lot of people getting admitted to both Michigan and Duke. That seems like a common decision point for a lot of folks.

wow, river, you really took the time to do this one eh? :P VERY NICE to see so many people get into both great schools! And it looks very evenly split too (admits, matriculations, etc...)

I would love to crash the party sometime this fall or next year. Meet up to 40 GMATClubbers in one fell swoop!

the annoying thing is, work is getting busy and I really dont' want to work more than 20 hours a week... I have to work a few more hours this weekend, on top of moving, the stupid fellowship essays, and reading Kellogg's admit website

There were 8 folks who were dinged by both.

All 8 of them are Indian :) (and nupur is one of them! Dinged by both but in at W!!!!)

And if you add my apps to this mix then it is 9! However I don't think that it has much to do with our demographic.

But one thing that I have been tracking on admissions911 is the number of Indians and their status. 31 Indians have applied to Chicago GSB in both the rounds resulting in 0 admits and 2 WLs. Kellogg has comparatively better statistics. 36 Indian reporting 2 admits. Incidentally even Wharton with 41 Indian profiles does not report a single admit. Lots of unknown however for each of the schools so this might change in teh coming days.
Don't read too much into my analysis but I was always of the opinion that the best profiles take the pain of listing on sites like Admissions411 which translates to a slightly better admit rate for the demographic. After this, I stand corrected.

These are very interesting facts. Thanks, since I plan on applying to both of these schools in the future.
