a. practicing yoga poses focused on safely stretching your muscles release lactic acid built up in tight muscles and improve

b. practicing yoga poses that focus on safely stretching your muscles release lactic acid built up in tight muscles, improving

c. practicing yoga poses that focus on safely stretching your muscles releases lactic acid built up in tight muscles, improving

d. practice of yoga poses focuses on safely stretching your muscles, releases lactic acid built up in tight muscles, and improves

e. practicing yoga poses, that focuses on safely stretching your muscles, releases lactic acid built up in tight muscles, thus improving

IMHO must be (C) for the highlighted errors in other options...

I don't think that the "focused" in answer choice a is a problem - it's just a restrictive participle modifier. The problem with answer choice a is a subject-verb agreement. While "practicing yoga poses" is a singular noun phrase, "release" and "improve" are verbs in plural form that don't match the noun they refer to.
