Assume small beaker is 1 unit and large beaker is 5 times that --> large beaker is 5
small beaker is filled 1/3 --> 1 * 1/3 = 1/3
large beaker is filled 1/4 --> 5 * 1/4 = 5/4
Add together: 1/3 + 5/4 = 19/12
What part of the large beaker is filled?
(19/12) / (5) = (19/12) / (60/12) = 19/60
--> Answer choice E
small beaker is filled 1/3 --> 1 * 1/3 = 1/3
large beaker is filled 1/4 --> 5 * 1/4 = 5/4
Add together: 1/3 + 5/4 = 19/12
What part of the large beaker is filled?
(19/12) / (5) = (19/12) / (60/12) = 19/60
