Total no of members voted=96-25-3=68
No of members Voted against the bill=96/3=32
So, No of members Voted for the bill=68-32=36
Sufficient.
St2:-The number of Legislators who voted for the bill was 8 more than the total number who were absent or abstained.
No of members Voted for the bill=(25+3)+8=36
Sufficient.

Absent Member: 25
Present Member: 96 -25 = 71
Abstained: 3
Absent or abstained: 25 + 3 = 28
Eligible and Present for Voting: 71 – 3 = 68.
(1) Exactly 1/3 of the total membership of the legislature voted against the bill.
Total Voted: 68
Voted Against: 96/3 = 32
Voted in favor: 68 – 32 = 36
Option 1 alone is sufficient to answer
(2) The number of Legislators who voted for the bill was 8 more than the total number who were absent or abstained.
Total Voted: 68
Absent or abstained: 25 + 3 = 28
Voted in favor: 28 + 8 = 36
Option 2 alone is sufficient to answer
