Art—B—3
History—A—4
Science class—C—2
Maths—B—3
Science Lab—A—4

(3 + 4 + 2 + 3 +4)/5= 16/5=3.2

The answer choice is E.

Art is 2 x 3 = 6
History is 3 x 4 = 12
Science is 4 x 2 = 8
Maths is 3 x 3 = 9
Science lab is 1 x 4 = 4
Total = 39
Total credit hours = 2 + 3 + 4 + 3 + 1 = 13
GPA = 39/13 = 3

Poor question quality. Question indicates no weight for time spent per class. Source?

To find the student’s GPA, we need to multiply hours of each class by the number grade corresponding to the letter grade the student received from each class and add. We then divide the sum by the total number of hours.

(2*3 + 3*4 + 4*2 + 3*3 + 4*1)/(2 + 3 + 4 + 3 + 1) = (6 + 12 + 8 + 9 + 4)/13 = 39/13 = 3.0

Answer: C
