A student takes three exams. The second has twice as many questions as the first, and the third has three times as many questions as the first. The student answers exactly 75% of the questions correctly on the first exam, exactly 81% on the second exam, and exactly 85% on the third exam. Out of all the questions on the three exams, what percent did he answer correctly?

I took the number of questions for the first test to be 100.
1st test = 100 questions
2nd test = 2 * 100 = 200 questions
3rd test = 3 * 100 = 300 questions
Next, we can calculate the number of questions answered correctly for each test based on the percentages provided.
1st test = (75/100)*100 = 75 questions
2nd test = (81/100)*200 = 162 questions
3rd test = (85/100)*300 = 255 questions
Add all the correct questions and divide by the total number of questions. Multiply into 100 to get the percentage.
(75+162+255)/600 = 492/600
(492/600)*100 = 82%
Therefore, the correct answer is (D) 82%.
