A. inversion.

"so that" in A is preferred over "such that" in C/D/E. B has two "so".

if a question has ACs with "sentence inversion", be careful and focus on it.

went for A because of the so...that construction, also because the part of the sentence after the semi-colon stood as an independent clause.

inversion is an alternative way to write the sentence. normally, a sentence would have the 'SUBJECT' preceding the 'VERB' as under: SUBJECT + VERB + (OBJECT/COMPLEMENT).

where as in inversion, we start sentence with verb and then subject as under: VERB + SUBJECT + (OBJECT/COMPLEMENT).

in our example, we are doing the second one for the first one as under:

i. normal/regular expression: the rain has been so plentiful for growing crops that farmers on the verge of bankruptcy have been able to save their farms.

ii. inversion: so plentiful has the rain been for growing crops that farmers on the verge of bankruptcy have been able to save their farms.

Good explanation.. I think inversion makes sense here because of the preceding sentence.. Using inversion, second part of the sentence acts as justification to first part of sentence .. If we use straight sentence here, we wouldn't be needing semicolon..

A

Rejected C, D and E because of "such that"
Rejected B because of "so......so that"
Selected A because of "so.....that"
