Marked price = 80
Selling price =68

Discount =80-68 = 12

Discount%
(12/80)*100

=15%

Solution:

After giving some discount on \$80, the suit is given at \$68. We need to find the percentage discount.

Let the discount be d%.

• \$68= \$80- d% of \$80
• \$68= \$80- d/100* \$80
• d/100* \$80= \$12
• d= 15

Thus, after 15% discount, the suit was given at \$68.
