A survey was conducted among 95 students who visited the college canteen everyday. The number of students who preferred tea, coffee or a fruit juice in the break was as follows: coffee : 28; tea and fruit juice : 6; only tea : 35; all three : 4; coffee and fruit juice : 10; tea and coffee : 7; none : 7. How many preferred only fruit juice?

There are a total of 95 students who participated in a survey.

Let I denote COFFEE,
Let II denote TEA, and
Let III denote FRUIT JUICE respectively.
where a = Coffee only,
b = denotes people who have coffe and tea, but not fruit juice.
c = Tea only.
e = denotes the people who had coffee and fruit juice, but not tea.
f = denote the people who had ALL three drinks.
g = denotes the people who had Tea and Fruit juice, but not Coffee.
h = denotes the group who doesn’t have any of the three juices.

a + b + e + f = 28
e + f =10
e =6
f =4
b+f = 7
b = 7-f = 7-4 =3
c = 35
h= None = 7
a + b + e + f =28
a+3+6+4 = 28
a = 15
f+ g = 6
g = 2
Coffee ( a+b+e+f) = 28
28 + 35 + 2 +
d + h (none =7) = 95
d = 95 - 28 - 35 - 2 - 7
d = 23 Fruit Juice ONLY = 23
