There are many approaches when it comes to weighted averages....but in this point, the cleanest (Cleanest doesn't always means fastest, here I mean which will give us confidence in our answer) way to do is Simply..... 38 X 22 + 26w = 35 (22 +26)..... Solve for w...
But if you are short on time..then...if the number of both men and women were equal then women's age would have been at the same distance from 35 than the men's age....so 35-3..- 32..but since..no of women is more it should be more than 32....So A B C are out...and you are left with D and E if you are short on time and have to guess an answer without solving.....
