Great link. thanks so the jist of the solution is that a triangle within a semi circle would always have a right angle triangle?. Please bear patience as I'm trying to recall stuff that I havn'et done in a very long time. thanks

Yes a triangle inside a semi-circle will always be a right triangle, sort of. The hypotnuse must be the same as diameter of the semi-circle. It would be possible to inscribe a triangle inside a semi-circle but not have the hypotnuse be the same as the diameter. In this situation (hypotnuse is not same line as diameter), I don't think the rule applies.
