A USS16 drone dropped a misguided anti-bunker bomb on a populated area, which caused death of over 100 people and also wiped out all the vegetation.
Quote:
A. area, which caused death of over 100 people and also wiped
which here refers to 'area'. Hence it's illogical. Now if 'on a populated area' was modifying bomb, then it could potentially still be ok, but here it isn't.
Quote:
B. area, not only causing death of over 100 people but also wiping
'causing' is a verb-ing modifier and modifies the action 'dropped' by showing the result of the action.
Quote:
C. area, which causing death of over 100 people also wiped
The two results of the action verb are not parallel
Quote:
D. area, which having caused death of over 100 people wiped
changes the meaning.
Quote:
E. area and had caused death of over 100 people, wiping
'had' is wrong here. The death happened after the bombs were dropped.
