I must agree that this is a logical question to ask somebody. Part of it is that I simply love the subject matter- business is a fascinating subject to study and GMATClub enables me to assist others in learning more about it. Another factor is that I genuinely enjoy helping people achieve their academic goals. Further, participating here has brought me into contact with a tremendously interesting and talented group of people from around the globe. I have certainly considered "retiring" from GMATClub over the past few years but I have simply enjoyed it too much so far to stop.

Does this help clarify the Hjort mystery?

Well it does, to a certain extent, but we'd prefer the standard:

Age/Nationality
GMAT/GPA/years of work experience/quality of extracurriculars...just kidding. :lol: Keep up the good work.
