Congrats man!. You managed to raise your score by 100 points despite the hurdles, an inspiration for me. Good luck on your applications.

I'm not sure if anyone read my old post, but i took the GMAT 5 weeks ago (October 26) and got a abysmal 510, 6/6.

I decided to rebook the GMAT for November 26, just because I was not satisfied after all the studying I did. But the funny thing is I decided to do it again knowing I was going to have a baby near the 4th of November.

Make a long story short, my wife gave birth to our daughter Cara on November 10, 2007, 16 days before my schedule GMAT. The rollercoaster of emotions and sleepless nights had left me barely anytime to do any good studying...plus the fact that I have my professional licensing for engineering on December 15 which I had to start preparing for, and plus the fact I was sick on the day of the GMAT, I managed to raise my score 100 and finished with a more respectable 610, 6/6.

I know it's not the high 700's that alot of people seem to post on this forum but I'm quite happy with the score considering and think that the score, with my application, will allow me to get into a program here in Toronto.

Lots of encouragement and just reading the stories (both horror and good) had given me hope that I could do better my 2nd time around.

Score for Gmat Club!
