My profile is as follows:
- Bachelors in Finance at a well-respected U.S. state school - 3.77 GPA (top 10%), also completed interdisciplinary honors program
- No internships or related work experience
- Two international exchanges (one in the UK, one in Amsterdam)
- GMAT: 770 (48Q, 50V)
I've applied to four pre-experience programs in the UK (Oxford Msc Financial Economics, LSE MSc in Finance and Private Equity, LBS MFA, and Cass MSc in Finance), with my ultimate goal being to get a job in the UK after completion (I'm from the US. I'm hoping to get a sense of what my chances are for Oxford/LSE. I was accepted to Cass and offered a £4,000 bursary award, but I was swiftly rejected from LBS (not invited to interview). My deadline for paying the deposit for Cass is tomorrow, and as I haven't heard from the other two, I am curious if I have any reasonable chance to get into either one. Also would appreciate any opinions on whether Cass is worth it/will help me get a job in London, or if my profile is strong enough that I should reapply next year to stronger schools.

What is the deposit at Cass? Might be worth it to lock it up.
UK schools care about scores a lot, which is good for you. I think you have a high chance of getting into LSE at the very least. Oxford might be a little more brand snobby. Really surprised with LBS though. The MFA is a newer program and more in line with people having limited work experience. You might try the LBS MiM which is for people with limited work experience.

Thanks so much for the input, definitely helpful and gives me a bit more optimism as I wait for the LSE decision, as it's probably my top choice (the lbs rejection had disheartened me some). I went ahead and paid the deposit at Cass (£2,000) because from the research I've done it still seems to be a generally reputable school and degree.
I think it's also possible that my relatively low quant score (48 was 72nd percentile as of my score report) hurt me in terms of chances with the mfa. Do you know if I'm able to apply for the MiM in the same year after being rejected from the MFA?
