Accepted at Fisher - Ohio state university

Question

Hi clubbers, Got a great surprise mail this morning from Fisher, have been accepted to their FT mba.. Actually did not expect anything from them since i thought office would be closed for the holidays but i guess they intended to give an adrenaline rush ahead of the new year :-D

. I am so happy coz this is my 1st admit and got this decision after my waitlist at Tepper a few days back. Thanks so much to all you guys for your inputs. GMATclub has been and will always be an excellent motivator in this process!! Special thanks to Hjort, who has been there right from the start of my process of shortlisting schools. :-D

Just curious: is it okie if I ask did you receive some kind of scholarship. I heard that OSU is very generous in fin-aid.

Thanks darren!! No problems about the schol, actually i also heard that almost 60% of admits get some sort of scholarship from Fisher. I have been told that i will receive details on my funding package in 2-3 weeks. Infact, there's some grad fellowship for Ohio state University,where they grant you full tuition waiver and good monthly stipend. Minimum requirements are 3.6 GPA and 700 GMAT (i guess, dunno for sure). Plus all the other strong xtra-curricular,community service stuff. I hope to make into that stream.

Hopefully that will make life tough for me when i get some good news from the other schools:) cheers

Thanks imjimmy!! Yep, they are quite strong in operations, especially SCM and have excellent career placement record in that area.

Guess will hear from Purdue next by Jan-mid. Sloan's decision is by Jan 29th and going by data till now, they have not interviewed in India, dunno what's in store for me there!! Broad's decision will come only in mid-Feb. I've applied to all the top schools for Operations/SCM (excepting Ross, which i somehow missed out). So, 'll be very tough making a decision in case of multiple admits, but that's a long way to go!!
