In the 2nd sentence the following usage is incorrect:
I
have got as many books as
you have.
Reason:
Not parallel: Either you should say 'I have got as many books as you have got' or 'I have as many books as you have'.
The sentence 'I have got as many books as you do' is also correct because the phrases 'you do' and 'you are' take on the form of the referring subject. For example, 'I am as accomplished in painting as you are' transliterates to 'I am as accomplished in painting as you are accomplished in painting'.
The best way? Brief and concise: 'I have as many books as you do'.
Remember:
(1) 'Have got' may be a redundancy in SC - unless it corresponds to a parallel phrase later in the sentence.
(2) 'you do' and 'you are' take on the form of the referring subject.
