hey everyone,
I went to a Kellogg information session last night and when I said I was an accountant from a Manufacturer an alumni said I was an interesting background and that there were not many accountants in the program. I inquired if it was just manufacturing accountants or all accountants and just at kellogg or most schools and she suggested it was all accountants at most schools. I know it isnt that important but I was curious if anyone had any idea if this is true and there are not a lot of accountants in MBA programs?

Why would you say it's not important? It's very important to you if you're in a field that doesn't have a lot of representation.
And I'd trust what an admissions committee person says on this matter. They have no reason to lie, and they see a lot applications.

I know its important. I know it can be beneficial but that does not mean I will get in soley on that fact so I just said its not important
. She was alumni not an Adcom so I am taking it with a grain of salt. That being said I am just curious if anyone has an info on this topic, ive looked briefly but not turned up anything. Thoughts?
