I'm considering an Accounting PhD and would like to get some advice to develop a good plan around which schools to target and how I can possibly improve my chances

Research publications:
In my graduation thesis, I wrote a research paper related to my academic interests.
Research interest:
Disclosure, corporate governance, financial reporting, earnings quality
No Research publications except my graduation thesis. No awards. No Teaching experience.
However, I worked for the Korean Accounting Standards Board (KASB), which serves as the accounting standards-setting body in Korea. During my time at the KASB, my responsibilities included formulating and interpreting GAAP, conducting research on IFRS adoption and other current accounting issues, as well as providing accounting standard education to the general public.
Regarding my past 9 years of work experience, I have been able to develop my knowledge and cultivate a keen academic interest in accountancy. Throughout my MA course, I also strengthened my mathematical background and acquired valuable research methodology skills. With these preparations, I believe I am now ready to embark on my Ph.D. studies. Is it reasonable to set my sights on applying to top 30 schools?
