Hello! My dream is to get my PhD in Accounting (I am interested in experimental and archival research related to financial disclosures, non-GAAP measures and SOX management) and attend a school like the University of Washington, USC, UT Austin or UC Illinois. I have a good background (I think) except for my GMAT score.
- Undergrad dual degree BBA in Marketing and BS in Accounting (3.8 GPA)
- CPA
- 4 years at Deloitte in external audit serving one of our largest clients
- 2 years in Internal Audit Manager at a Fortune 100 company
- Genuine passion for research and super driven individual!!!
- GMAT: 690 (Q47 V38)
I am wondering if anyone knows if GMAT cutoffs at this caliber of schools is a real thing. I've heard rumors that the cutoff is 700 but with the applications due in December I'm not sure that I can realistically restudy in less than a month and get higher than a 700. I will definitely try but want to know my options if it doesn't work out.
Please help!!!!!!!
Your profile is good. If possible, try to take your GMAT score above 720.
Do you have any research experience? Who will write your LORs? What math courses have you taken in your undergrad? Have you taken any seminar courses?
