Hi all,

I just took my 3rd attempt of the GMAT. I scored a Q39/V26 - 560. I just need some help understand why is there such a discrepancy with my actual score and practice tests.

My practice exams ( I have been taking them weekly)

Veritas 1 -660
Veritas 2 -620
Veritas 3 -640
Veritas 4 -650
Veritas 5- 650
Veritas 6 -650
Veritas 7 - 680
GmatPrep1 - 750
GmatPrep2 - 680

There was nothing on the actual exam that I found difficult. Every problem I saw I have done in practice and I knew how to attach and formulate a correct answer. I will be doing a re-take in approximately 1 month. I am not sure how to prep. I will purchase the new question pack and exam for sure. I was not stressed, I was not rushed or was I stumped.

Any help would be appreciated.

If you didn't have problems with timing or stress, it looks like you might have been tricked by the questions! You said that its your 3rd attempt? What were your other scores?

If you didn't have problems with timing or stress, it looks like you might have been tricked by the questions! You said that its your 3rd attempt? What were your other scores?

That could very well be the case. My other scores were 570 and 570. I took the first two last year and then I prepped again. I'm going to give it one last shot to see what I'm able to pull. I'm going to rest a couple of days first again and then re-register.

Getting tricked may be a possibility. Run through various questions - and see how many "stupid" mistakes you make. Something seemingly easy may be getting you.

Besides OG and GMATPrep - I'd recommend testing yourself on various questions on the Practice Pill Platform - test yourself and make sure you indeed are aware of any potential dumb mistakes.

I signed up a few days ago since I just took my last exam last Saturday. I'm doing some refreshers and then going to rerun through the practice pill platform. I figure since I'm always traveling, that would be a good tool. I also like the 50 point guarantee and hope that this will be what I need to break the ceiling.
