I hear some people state the actual test is harder than their prep questions, (OG, Gmatprep) and vice versa. Yet, people say that gmatprep scores are comparable to the actual test. Does that mean that the questions are harder but the scores adjust for that on the test?
Good point. Actual test is lot harder than OG but at-least for me was not that different than GMATPrep. In my opinion GMATPrep seems easier because you are relax and stakes are not high e.t.c. But what you say could be possible with actual tests starting with a higher level questions than GMATPrep.
I think it's because the OG has a range of questions from 200-800 w/ a small percentage of questions in the 700-800 range. So when you finally take the test, and you're scoring above 700, the test will seem a lot harder since you don't get the easy ones since the CAT grabs questions from the 700-800 question bank.
