Hello,
I took Pearson test and scored 45 in quant. The number of questions incorrect were 6 out of which 1 was an experimental question.
Do you think the score is correct according to the GMAT algorithm?

Pearson tests are quite accurate. If you have obtained 45, you can safely assume that it is a good indicator of what you will recieve in GMAT.
However, there are many other factors to be kept in mind. You may not give better performance on exam day. Or you can give better performance. May be you do some silly mistakes. I have heard from students that they were getting 50 in mocks but got only 40 in exam. And some cases where they were consistently scoring 35 and on D day they got 51.
So there is always a room for variation. It all depends on your focus and luck on that day.

Hello, vivprakash. I would not worry too much about a score attached to any mock other than one of the official practice tests. Neither would I suggest seeking to correlate any third-party mock with an official one, since the questions often look quite different from one test to the other. If you missed six, good for you. Learn what you can from that test and then see if you can apply that knowledge to one of the official practice tests. (You may know that the first two are free and can be reset as many times as you like.) If you score a 45 in Quant on an official CAT, then you will gain much more insight into where you stand.I took Pearson test and scored 45 in quant.
