Hi all! I have a question regarding the administrative review.
I had my GMAT online exam this afternoon and got a 700 (Q49 V37). Everything went pretty smoothly, no other people showing up in my testing room, no noises, followed every instructions, except that my proctor interrupted me once in my Quant section, asking me what writing tool I was using. I showed him my marker and told him that I'm using a dry erase marker. He said ok and apologized for interruption. I showed him my room and my desk prior to the exam, and I made sure that there are no pens, pencils or anything like those within my reach. I also showed him my physical whiteboard and the whiteboard eraser I was using before my exam starts, but he did not check for my dry erase markers at that moment. Will my score be flagged for administrative review because of this minor interruption? The programs I'm applying to have a deadline of Dec. 31st and I really need my GMAT score to be sent before the deadline. If anyone has had similar experience please let me know how it went!! Greatly appreciate it!!!!!

Sorry to hear your experience did not go as planned. I would email GMAC as soon as possible explaining the situation and asking if the score can be confirmed within the coming days given your deadline. They will review the proctor's notes/get back to you. I would also go ahead and communicate with your schools that you have an unofficial test score that is waiting to be confirmed. Admissions offices may be closed though, so see if you have a separate admissions rep that you can flag down, asking if it is okay if the score is delayed. I believe that some schools are lenient if the exam was taken before the admissions deadline/you are just waiting for it to be confirmed, so take a deep breathe! Best of luck!

Hi woohoo921! Thank you so much for your advice! GMAC was telling me my score is ready literally 10 minutes ago... (btw my verbal is actually 35 so I guess I really need to enhance my memory lol) I was honestly surprised at how efficient they can be, and at least relieved because I won't need to worry too much about it anymore.
