Hi MargheCris,
I'm sorry to hear about the delay in receiving your Official results. While many GMATers who take the At-home version of the Exam receive their results in 2-3 days, a certain percentage have to wait for a lengthier amount of time (sometimes 2-3 weeks or longer). Compounding the issue in your case is that you took the Exam near the end of December - so there will likely be a 'backlog' of Essays to be graded and Exams to be reviewed (due to the New Years weekend) - meaning that some type of delay was likely inevitable.
If you're facing an application deadline on January 8th, you might consider reaching out to the School directly to explain your situation. You HAVE taken the GMAT - and your results DO exist (they're just not available yet). Assuming that you have your Unofficial Scores, you might be able to report those with your Application (and the School might be fine with you still applying - assuming that your Official Results will eventually become available in the next couple of weeks).
GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich
