Thanks for the reply, JonAd! My work experience is pretty weak compared to the Haas PT student profile, so I'm just trying to make sure that I don't have any other weaknesses in my application. I was really excited about the 740, but then started getting concerned when I saw how many schools look at the Q/V breakdown. I don't want to come across as the poet applying to business school - I'm generally very good with numbers, but I've forgotten a lot about trigonometry and exponent rules, apparently.

But still: don't worry about it! Breakdown is MUCH MUCH less important than overall score, and with your score, well over the average, don't retake. Even if you get a balanced 760, it doesn't FUNDAMENTALLY change your profile. So now is the time (if you ask me) to start working on those essays, because they WILL matter.
