Hi,
I am looking for some guidance on my MBA application. Some university have only one admission essay question such as Georgetown University,McDonough School of Business :"Why you?” .Well basically the SOP that I have created answers this .
So my query is that should should the SOP and the essay be different ?Because even if I write the essay most of the content will be the same as the SOP .Is an SOP really needed for such school? The admission requirement on any university website doesn't states anything about an SOP.

No need for an SOP here. Just the essay. But make sure you really answer the question! "Why You?" and not something that seems LIKE the question but is something else (like "Why US?" or "Why are you applying to Georgetown?" or so on....)

Hope this helps!!!

Thanks for the advice.I will be careful while structuring my essay so that it answers the question "Why me?" and not why I have selected the university or something similar.
Really appreciate the help!!

You got it. Good luck dude!
