Hi I got accepted for full time global stem MBA for George Washington business school with $60k scholarship. As an international student do you think it’s worth the move with respect to career opportunities in usa and brand?
Any information will be helpful!
Thanks in advance
Posted from my mobile deviceHi
vyiom hope you are doing well. I think we spoke earlier about your profile suitability for other schools on your list.
George Washington business school is a good school but as an international student, you must prepare yourself mentally to face the uncertainties that come with being an international student and job seeker in the US. This advice is not specific to only this particular school but to most schools in the states. If the visa situation does not work well for you and you may have to scout for opportunities in Canada, applying to Canadian schools might be a good idea. You should talk to GWBS alumni (international students)to get a first-hand perspective of their experience.
MBA is one of the most important decisions and perhaps one of the biggest investments you will make in a long time. Make sure you have done your due diligence and tested your luck with other avenues (better ones) before you make a call. Take time to evaluate whether you really gave your best shot at all the other B School applications or could you have done better, perhaps with an expert's help. You can also look at better ranked schools outside of the US and evaluate your fit before taking a call.
Warm regards
