Hi,
I have been admitted to
UCSD's MS Finance program ,
Rutger's MS Math Finance program and
UT Austin's MS Finance program for Fall 2018 .
GPA - 3.01/4
GMAT - 700/800
GRE - 320/340
Workex - Worked as a FX quant researcher and FX trader for over 3 years in India's top NBFC (very relevant to all programs).
I am in a bit of a dilemma here as to which program to choose and inputs from seniors/fellow applicants would be really helpful.
As to my long term goals, I wish to pursue a Ph.D in econometrics or some field closely related. So my immediate short term goals would be to gain excellent research experience either under a prof in the school I am going to join or do independent research under a prof in India (unsure about this).
As far as I have researched about the schools, UCSD's Rady school boasts about it's econ department being top researchers in this field. I am tempted to say yes to UCSD but really wish to listen to your perspectives.
Any thoughts on this would be really helpful!
Regards
