I am not sure what other people think, but I must say Tepper has done a very nice job making admitted students feel welcome. I regret more than ever that I probably can't make the welcome weekend. At least I was able to visit a few months ago. Does anyone know if there is a secondary welcome weekend that maybe the later admits attend?

That said, did anybody else not get the admission binder?
Didn't recieve it yet (international) and it seems unlike Tepper to be late :)

I think it'll generally depend on your budget. Obviously having your own apartment will end up being more expensive than sharing a 2br or townhouse.

Hi Everyone! I am currently a first year student. I have an apartment for rent. It's a duplex in Point Breeze, and I live on the first floor.

Address is 626 Worth St, Pittsburgh PA 15217 (second floor)
$900 +gas/electric
2 large bedrooms, 1 bathroom
laundry in the basement
on street parking

You can catch a public bus to campus at the corner of Wilkins and Kinsman. It's the 67 (portauthority dot org). Or drive to campus, or walk 1.5miles, it is not on a CMU shuttle route.

Send me an email if you are interested and I will reply with some pictures. Also, let me know if you would like to see the apartment during Welcome Weekend or some other time.

Does anybody know if there's a certain procedure to declining the Tepper offer? Or is it just an e-mail to AdCom?
I don't feel happy at turning down one of my favorite schools...so at least, I want to do it right...

Log in to the applyyourself page and open the acceptance letter. At the bottom, there is a link that says "To reply regarding our offer of admission, click here to access our online enrollment form."

I got an email request for a scan of my undergrad diploma (within 2 days of faxing the release), so far that's all I've seen of what they do. I talked with both my recommenders this week, and none mentioned being contacted yet, and they probably would, since this is not something they are used to doing.

Just an update on the Kroll Process:

I got the notification that my credential verification was successfully completed after just over a week. It looks like they contacted both my recommenders and the HR dept. at my office. Turned out to be a pretty simple process.
