Hi manali_02.

The quickest way to master GMAT Verbal is to work on one topic at a time.

To master a topic

- first, review the concepts and strategies that topic involves

- then, do practice questions involving that topic UNTIMED until you're achieving high accuracy

- finally, work on reducing the time per question until you're correctly answering questions involving that topic at test pace

Then, move on to the next topic and do the same thing.

This process will work much better than just doing practice questions and taking mocks and hoping for the best.

Hi manali_02,

Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) What study materials have you used so far?
3) Have you taken any CATs/mocks yet? On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
4) What is your overall goal score?
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

Hi Rich,
1) I study 5.5 hours on average daily
2) I have been using GMATprep books as well as Princeton review live videos.
3)yes, I have taken 2 mocks so far, One was just a diagnostic test without studying anything I scored 310 (Q23 and V9) and second I took after studying for 15-18 days I scored around 430 (Q35 and V15)I haven't completed the syllabus yet.

Goals
4) My overall target is 710-730
5)I m planning to apply in October 2023 and planning to give GMAT September this year, schools I m planning are Imperial, Rotterdam, Warwick and IE business school.

I m facing difficulty in managing time between practicing whatever I have already covered and completing new topics.

How to Score High on GMAT Verbal

Hi Marty, Thank you for the advice. I had one question, I m currently working on CR and m able to do easy questions with accuracy, I have started with medium level questions and I m noticing some repeated mistakes specially with understanding the argument, I always eliminate three choices correctly but get stuck on last two and end up selecting the trap answers. How can I effectively tackle this error I m making again and again.

Hi manali_02,

Since you have some specific Schools that you want to apply to, you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile and plans. Those Experts should be able to answer your Admissions questions and help define the specific areas of your profile that could use some improvement (and the more time that you have to act on that advice, the better). There's a Forum full of those Experts here:

https://gmatclub.com/forum/ask-admissio ... tants-124/

I've also sent you a PM with some additional notes and questions.
