Hi all,
I wanted to get some feedback/advice. I feel I have a strong profile to apply to business school, but I am not sure what I want to do after school. I've considered waiting a year to maybe figure it out but I am afraid that if I don't apply this year I might not apply at all. Here is my profile
1) 26 year-old, male, Guatemala
2) Electrical Engineering degree from top-20 US school, 3.5 GPA, 770 GMAT (49Q, 48V, 5.5 AWA)
3) Worked in a major tech consulting firm in US for 1 year, worked in a investment banking/private equity firm in Central America for 2 years (worked on >$2B worth of transactions), currently pursuing a couple of entrepreneurial opportunities ( 4 months now)
4) Not a lot of extracurriculars, involved in a NGO start-up at the board level
5) Unclear plans after MBA, only clear that I want to stay in Central America
6) INSEAD, HBS and Stanford
I've got good recommenders with whom I worked with extensively.
What are my chances? Any advice in how to manage the lack of clear plans in terms of my apps?

Your numbers are stellar,its would be hard to reject you, but your numbers don't guarantee a place. Its better to begin with the end in mind. The Why MBA question, must be addressed by all applicants, a more convincing answer would improve your chances, while a not so convincing one may take you out of contention.Business schools expect you to have short-term and long-term plans laid out, or at least a vague idea about what you want to do post-MBA. Its going to be a hard sell on specific essay questions, if do not have a plan. I suggest you to do some introspection and chalk out a plan, or at least for the sake of your admissions essays, you need to have a plan that sounds somewhat convincing to the adcom.
