IMO, If I were you I would stay away from 1000 SC at least from most of them, until you've finished/exhausted official resources. 1000 SC is a good resource to improve your English grammar/style but I haven't seen some of the concepts tested there in GMAT problems.

It's better not to practice GMAT questions before you take GMAT prep. However, I'd recommend you do as many official problems as possible before you take GMAT. Official problems, specially in SC, are the best resource.

mikeCoolBoy - Thanks a lot for your recommendations. I just want to make sure that I understand your meesage.

You do not recommend 1000 SC becuase lot of these concepts are not tested on GMAT, right?

How can i get the more Official problem to practice. I have done most of the Offical Guide problems, which are about 150 or so. I scored about 80% accuracy on those and made sure I go over my errors couple of time and make notes of them. Can you please advice How can i practice some volume for the SC questions. Also, how would you rate the 6 verbal test on this forum. Are they actual representative of the GMAT test, tough or easy?

I heard about some test sets (30 or something) from past tests. I would consider those as offical problems. Do you know how can i access those?

At last, I want to thank you again for your help here.

dolly12 , each person differs from their opinion regarding 1000 SC, i personally did them, and i did improved, i learned a lot. And i dont see anything that is not tested. FYI if you have exhausted OG 10 , 11 , 12 and the verbal review ,there isnt any more official questions left except gmat prep questions. gmatclub tests verbal are not as good as it is for quant.

the some tests sets of 30 you say are not official, as far as i know, . those between 21-30 are most recommended, and as usual their OAs are not to be relied upon , and again forum comes to the rescue. mikeCoolBoy said some of the concepts, you said lot of these concepts , that is a Quantity indicator error, just kidding had the effect of doing some CRs :? , well it is up to you to decide.

I edited my previous post because it wasn't clear the message I wanted to convey.

If you've finished OG's, Verbal Review, then do the 1000 sc,verbal tests (21-30), MGMAT question bank. What I meant is that, in my point of view, it's better to practice official problems -- specially sentence correction problems. If you've exhausted official problems, understanding the concepts tested, then move to other resources such as 1000sc or verbal tests

Do GMAT prep problems few weeks before you GMAT. Those problems are more difficult than the ones in the OG's and are the closest to the ones you'll see on the official test.

Regarding the "some of the concepts" issue, for instance take problem 184 in the 1000 sc. That problem has been posted several times because people don't know, as I didn't before, that "if only because" is a correct construction. None official problem , as far as I know, has tested this construction and you also don't have an official explanation about the use of "on the bases of" and "on the grounds of". If you look for this problem in forums everybody has a different opinion about this question and most people select A or B as a the correct answer choice. Of course that is a good problem to learn a new concept, but might be a concept that will never be tested on the GMAT.

Good luck with your studying

Thanks Guys it is really helpful.

Crejoc - It seems I need to get some CR dose as well :)

MikecoolBoy - This makes sense. I was under the impression that in OG 10, 11 and 12 most of the questions are the same. I just did OG 11. Let me crack 10 and 12 as well. When you sayMGMAT questions, I beleive you are talking about the 25 questions comes with the buying the book, right?

Yeap I'm talking about the ones that come with the book. If you bought the book, then do those, the explanations are good.
