Hi - I realized that when inputting my compensation info I put it all in millions instead of thousands. so I put 90,000,000 instead of 90,000, and I did this for all the schools that I applied to. I proofed my apps several times and didn't catch this. I don't have good excuse for doing this. I work finance (which makes me more worried about how they will interpret this careless mistake), but pretty much always deal with millions so I think that is why I made this mistake. I already called admissions and they directed me to send in an email explaining the error, which I did.
I'm really worried as to how this will be viewed. I know my recommendors commented on my reliability and accuracy but this error really undermines those comments. Any suggestions on anything else I should do and did I destroy my chances (I only applied to top 10 schools) at getting in this year (or any year)? The rest of my application is solid and I had a high GPA and avg GMAT for the schools I applied to.

This seems like one of those rare occasions where it makes sense to reach out to the admissions committee to address the mistake. Obviously it is a typo and I wouldn't be too worried about the school holding it against you in the admissions process. You could even turn it into a funny story during your interview!
