Hi
Took the exam last week and got 660 (Q44, V38). Material used -
MGMAT strat guides, OG, Quant and Verbal Reviews. Full lenght practice tests were
MGMAT and GMAT Prep.
I plan to apply in Round 1 and hence targetting to take the exam again within 5 weeks. Am ok on my apps at the moment. I realised the problem with Quant was confidence. I really oscillate between 45-49 and do not know how to stabalize it. The problem did not seem to be concept but application of concept. I believe more practice is required. My strategy is now to use the GMAT HACK material for practice and polishing it off with
GMAT Club Tests.
My question is around verbal. During the preparations, I consistently touched 38, sometimes going to 40. How do I move to 41. More importantly, besides OG, Verbal Review what other source could I use for good 700+ level practice sets. I procured the Aristotle SC, but found it basic (although I do stumble a lot on 700+ SC questions). Further I also have RC 99 and plan to use it.
Are there focussed Verbal sets which I can use to practice. My challenge to achieve a 40 consistently seems to be that I take too much time on SC. Besides the 6 Verbal sets, is anyone aware of good verbal sets?
How have some of you approached Round 2? Practice same stuff again? There is a lot of advanced material available for Quant. Is there similar 700 plus material available for verbal.
Would highly appreciate the thoughts and comments of members of this forum.
