Hey guys,
I know the GPA issue has been discussed several times in other threads. I have read through those and just wanted some insight on my situation.
I am heavily considering an MBA to move my career forward, I have yet to take the GMAT and hoping to apply to some Canadian/US schools for 2018 admission.
I graduated from University of Toronto back in 2013 with a degree in Math and a horrendous GPA (2.47). Currently 25 and since graduation I have been working in the financial industry as a Business Analyst, mainly working with software/technology at a mid size firm. I have also completed the CFA in that timeframe which hopefully helps my cause.
I might also be getting a new job soon at a more prominent financial company in a similar role. With about 3.5 - 4 years of work experience and assuming a GMAT of anywhere from 720-740, is there any hope? I'm considering Canadian schools like Ivey, Queens, or Rotman. My goal post-MBA is to work in consulting.
Thanks
