Advice on applying PhD in Information Systems 20 Sep 2015, 19:10

I intended to pursue my PhD in Information Systems, and I hope you may offer your generous advice.

I obtained a degree of BBA (Hons) in Management and a BSc (Hons) in Computing in 2014.My undergraduate GPA was not high(below 3.0). Currently I am in a taught master programme in Information and Technology Management in CUHK Business School. I published paper in a small conference, and I have previously picked up the role of manuscript reviewer in some IS conferences.

I scored 680 in GMAT in Mid-September. I made a first attempt with a low score in February because of limited preparation. I intended to fulfill the condition in the offer from CUHK Business School, which was a fairly low GMAT score. (OK, I will write an article to express my thanks to e-GMAT later...)
Currently I am interested in social media, app economy and internet finance.

680 is surely not high enough for the best business schools. But if I do not insist highest rank one, do I have some chance?

Besides, please kindly advice if I should re-take IELTS. I got a 7.0 in IELTS in 2014 April.
