Also, what do you typically do when u r on time and you haven't reached your target question? Start guessing or try and give yourself lesser time for each subsequent question - like 0.5 min for SC and 1 min for CR etc?

reason why your guessing will not work.

The chances you of you getting the RC is very high and unparallel to the chances you will get the SC and CR correct. but hey, what do i know, I'm still trying to crack 500 on the gmat's....(sigh)....

don't guess randomly. do guess questions where you have to read and re-read just to get an understanding of what the question is asking you. during my GMAT, i would estimate i blindly guessed at least 3-4 math problems that i knew were mucking me up.

as far as getting faster, there's really no way to get faster without doing a lot of timed practice problems. for this, MGMAT's tests work pretty well. also, you can time yourself with a stopwatch when you work on the OG problems, although this isn't a really good approximation of how the test will be set up.

hmm...thanks! but i am not convinced why my strategy will not work. Lemme try this on a couple of my MGMAT tests. In MGMATs I am in worser situation - 15q, 12-15 mins :)
