It has been a while since I posted or even visited GMAT Club because I have been so disheartened by my last test results. I studied rigurously for about 2 months in December/January with mostly OG11 and the Verbal and Math OG books and some Princeton and Kaplan as supplement.
My very first attempt at GMATPrep test 1 was 700 (47Q, 38V). My subsquent attempts were reasonable as well. I studied non-stop and really tried understand not just how do the problems but the underlying concepts. However, when I took the first real GMAT, I panicked. The night before the test I could not sleep. I woke up at 4 am (test was at 8am) and I did horribly 570. Down but not defeated, I signed up for the test again for a month later. That time I made sure I slept well and ate well. I went into the test center fairly confidently but ultimately failed and only got 10 points higher than my previous "real" attempt.
I listed below my practice attempts as well as the real test results (in bold). I am running out of confidence to do well on the real test. I am also out of studying materials. I know I can do the test well -- just not the real thing under pressure. Any idea/advice is greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Jeff
