Oh, ok. I was guessing based on your avatar that you had decided.

I have pretty much all but made up my mind to attend Rice. When I asked for the scholarship review, I was all about Vandy. But, I really like Rice's program from my experiences with students in my incoming class and their staff/faculty. I am almost sure I will attend there. The only thing that worries me is the push Vandy is making as a program in the rankings. I really think they are about to become a top 20 program again, before they made their fall a while ago.

I do recall that at one point Vandy was ranked in the 18-25 range. I didn't know what had changed in the interim. I will agree that Vandy probably has a better chance of making a move up in the rankings. The university has a solid overall reputation, and I think that reputation is an important factor for purposes of rankings.

Still, what you've said about Rice sounds great too. Good luck.

Might be tough trying to get Stern to match Boston University. They are pretty far apart when it comes to rankings and perceived value. Worth a try, but I certainly wouldn't push it.
