I would definitely get the Exam Pack 1 from GMAC. Its an additional 2 practice tests from GMAC for about $50. While you may encounter a few repeat questions if you are scoring mid 700s, I think it is well worth the investment.

You may also want to look into their Question Pack 1. Just additional questions from GMAC that you can filter by section and difficulty so you can focus on the 700+ level questions.

In terms of purchasing the MGMAT or any other exams, it comes down to how much time you have left. With 3 weeks left, you can easily fit in 3-4 more exams before game day. This may mean that GMATPrep will be enough (with your one free remaining and then the 2 additional), or you may want to invest in one of the test prep companies. MGMAT has great reviews on GMAT Club. People really seem to like their stuff.

Hi Alex, thanks for the feedback. I have not look into GMAT prep yet. I have heard that Kaplan and MGMAT offer harder CATs and I wanted to make sure to have a lower score on my practice tests rather than the other way arond.

MGMAT offers 6 CATs for $75, which is a better deal than GMATPrep 2 for $50. But I might not have time to review the 6 tests properly with 2 weeks left. My only concern is that GMAT Prep test 1 that I took had quite a bit of repeating questions that I have done before and I want to make sure to challenge myself.

Personally, I would purchase the GMATPrep materials over any test prep company. While MGMAT may be a better deal on a per test price, GMATPrep is developed by the actual test creators (also the price difference is nominal). On the additional exam pack you tend not to see that many (if any) repeat questions. With the original GMATPrep stuff you repeat the IR and potentially some Quant or Verbal questions (depending on performance). In the exam pack, the IR questions are completely different and from what I have read and experienced, you will only see repeat questions if you are scoring near or above 750.

I would recommend investing in both since they will likely both add something to your studying. If you do not currently have any exams that you can take then I would recommend one MGMAT exam and then the two GMATPrep ones.

If you haven't purchased the question pack 1 from mba.com, I would also check that out. Its another 300+ questions that you can filter based on difficulty with pretty good explanations.

Overall, the most important thing about any CAT is to learn from your mistakes. No matter who you take the CAT with, you need to make sure you understand what you are doing wrong and why its incorrect.

I will second what alexau has to say, take the Exam Pack 1 tests to see where you really are, and use the Question Pack 1 for targeted practice.
