Hi,

I was due to take my GMAT exam last week but was not allowed to take the exam due to a name mismatch.

My GMAT account had an additional Name which was not present in my passport.

E.g.
In my passport: Last Name: XXX, First Name: YYY
In my GMAT account: Last Name: XXX, First Name: YYY ZZZ (My original name on my passport is in chinese, but i have an english name which i use at work which i included in the GMAT account)

Would i have sufficient grounds to ask for a refund? I have raised a case with Pearson Vue but i am getting difficulty getting them to provide a refund.

Also, i have take the test twice using this account. It was only on the third time that the test centre personnel denied me entry.

I really appreciate any help/advice on this.

I too was not able to sit for the test due to a name mismatch.... No refund from Pearson VUE... It seems that the take the monopoly on the GMAT test quite seriously...

I know its of little help now.... You can change your name on the test even after registering (and paying) if you "somehow" know that there may a name mismatch issue... Call the helpline and they help you.... unfortunately for most people(including me) who get "screwed" in this manner don't look out for advice on this situation before it happens.... :(
