The original sentence is so poorly written that it is actually hard to determine what it actually means. Is the desire to get out of school and get a job or just to get a job. So depending on the answer changes the entire sense.

I'd never hear the correct answer in every day speech – everybody would use A. It is phrased colloquially

After being in school for sixteen years, itself resembles that Jack is out of school. So, any answer containing to get out would not be correct and meaningful
