The subject is singular. We are talking about the semiconductor industry.

The semiconductor industry appears to have made a recovery.

B, C, D are out as the correct form is "appears to have".

E is out as the correct from is "from X to Y".

Hence A.

Since "from" is kept out of the underlined part, we need "to " to close the structure "from.....to ....." --> A and D stand.
"appears to have" is correct

A it is.

Appears to have is correct as the subject is singular. But what caught my attention was the comparisons made.
Though I would have been inclined to say that it should be computers to spy …
But there was no such option.

I saw the OA to be A and most members agree with it, but I have the following doubt;
Shouldn't it be nation’s semiconductor industry,xyz..., appears that it has. isn't has singular.

"though appears to have " sounds good but I have the above doubt.
