Please help in solving the following question in less time. I can easily solve it by plug and play method of answer choices, but my method takes a lot of time.
If A and B are integers and B = A + 4, which of the following represents integers x for which the expression (x - A)^2 + (x - B)^2 is the smallest ?
A. A - 1
B. A
C. A + 2
D. A + 3
E. B + 1
